Easter Weekend

I hope your weekend was a wonderful celebration of Christ's life! Being around my family made me that much more thankful for His life. We had a relaxing weekend of shopping, beach time, and a sweet church service at the church we attend in Destin.

As a teenager, I always day dreamed about decorating my home for all of the holidays. This has been the first big holiday that Nick and I have been at our own home so this was so fun for me!

One tradition I want to start is baking Easter Sugar Cookies. I looked through some recipes and found one I really like. One color of frosting was enough work for this year. Next year I'll go with two colors ;). There were some chicks in there but I didn't take a picture in time!

I made up a little scavenger hunt for Nick, Mom, and Trenton. It was sooo much fun!  Can't you see how excited they were?? I wish I had gotten pictures during the hunt, but I got too caught up in watching them figure out the clues (One of Nick's said, "You are spicy hot!"----He found an egg with another clue in the spice cabinet).

After the hunt, we got our Sunday's best on and headed over the bridge to church. Mom and Trenton had to head back soon after church but I got some Easter pictures in before everyone changed into their comfy clothes.

Lucy, the boston terrier, came along for the visit. You don't know what "spoiled rotten" means until you have met Lucy. She was the one in charge all weekend, as always!

It was a fun weekend! Now to clean the house and get back in the groove!

Have a sweet week, friends!

(She was "Thumper" for the weekend)
