the weekend

Weekends in Florida do not disappoint. I knew I would be busy, but I was sooo tired by Saturday night. Thank goodness for a slow Sunday...

We started off the weekend with a movie and popcorn at the Destin Commons. Plus Books A Million of course.

Saturday was the EOD Challenge. It's an event that takes place the week before the EOD Memorial. It supports Wounded EODs and their families. The Challenge is a Ruck/Swim/Run. No, I didn't participate but I did help with registration and then enjoyed the party after the run. We ate rice and beans, cheered on the award winners, and got to hang out at Schooners for the afternoon. I rode my bike since Schooners is in our neighborhood...Rosie of course played the part of Toto! The mini- beach and dock make it the perfect hang out place! I was so proud of how Rosie played with all the kiddos. She had the perfect little manners. I am finally seeing the fruits of training her in the way that we did. She is the best pup!

My favorite picture of the day. She came home and went straight to sleep. (I was right behind her).

 Best. Brunch. Ever.

Please. If you come to the Destin area, go to Compass Rose on Sunday for their brunch. I felt like I was on an cruise with all inclusive meal ticket. This was my sweet potato waffle. They had everything you could imagine. I can not describe how much I enjoyed this meal. It's from 9-4 so stay all day and eat a couple meals!!

Just a little Sunday morning photoshoot. No biggie.

Hope your weekend was exactly what you needed!
