18 Week Bumpdate

How far along?

18 weeks!

Baby size?
A sweet potato

Cravings?
Sweets are more common nowadays. Soft serve ice cream is always on my mind but I can control it pretty well. I made red beans and rice in the crock pot this week and it was yummy! I don't think I have ever had the urge to make it, so I consider that a craving. My body is wanting dairy, so I'm guessing thats where the ice cream is coming from.

Aversions?
None really. I just thought about it and nothing has sounded bad for about a week and a half.

Symptoms?
Headaches are still strong but lessening. I got something from my doctor that is working way better and finally stopped the cycle of everyday migraines. Now its only every other day ha! The start of this week brought a shortness of breath with it. When I am not doing anything, I really feel like I need to yawn so I can get a deep breath. It's slowing down my workouts because less oxygen means less power. Spin class this morning was no fun but I got through it and felt way better after. I even cleaned the house at 6 am afterwards! Baby is just pushing things aside in there so Im sure there is just less room to catch a good breath.

Mood?
Up and down. More ups than downs though! Probably because my husband is back home!!

Looking forward to?
First, our moms are coming to town next week!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell Im excited? And that means…..gender reveal is next week! I go in for my ultrasound at 7:30 am next friday and at 7pm (Pacific!), we will find out what colors we will be using the rest of this pregnancy! I will be posting the Ustream link if you would like to tune in as well! We will be finding out the gender when everyone else does. I can't wait to see our reactions in the pictures.

Nick this week?
HOME!!!!!!! He had Friday off, so we went and saw God's Not Dead. Oh soooo good! I will probably see it again soon! Such a motivation to speak the truth to those around us and a reminder that he is so so active our life!

What's new?
Baby is moving! I don't remember the exact moment it first happened but Ive been feeling this twitching and I just know thats it. I love telling Nick that Baby is kicking. Im sure I couldn't feel it with my hands on my stomach yet but Ive been trying to :). I can never get there quick enough to see.

Actually loving my skin right now. Ive noticed that red tone coming out (Im normally very  olive green year round), I'm guessing from the extra blood my body is producing. Plus Ive been getting some sun while on my porch in the afternoons. Why does a tan make you feel so good?? Having my hair done yesterday also lifted my spirits completely! Cut and highlight did the trick!

Also, God blessed us with the sweetest surprise the weekend before Nick got home. A friend from church brought me a number to call and said a lady was done with her crib that she had for her grand babies and just wanted it out of her house. That means free. A free PERFECT crib that I probably would have wanted if I had seen it in store and probably would have been a little over budget. It is absolutely gorgeous and exactly my taste! I am so so in love! And my handy husband put it together with no instructions in 10 minutes. It was so fun!

Overjoyed at the thought of a baby taking the attention away.

That crib is GORGEOUS! I love when people bless others with cherished items, rich in history of happiness! I can't wait to see the nursery y'all make around it. I know I'm excited to see if you're welcoming a baby boy or a baby girl into your family, so I know you must be beyond excited! I can't wait to see on Instagram or Facebook which way it goes :D

As soon as I gave birth to Crew, I remember how amazing it felt to take deep breaths again. It was wonderful! haha

I'm glad i'm not the only suffering from the headaches/migraines. i was told that if you get them normally before being pregnant, they get worse when you get pregnant…noooo.
How sweet that you felt the baby moving…love!!!
